Youth News 1/12 (Registration Ends this MONDAY!)

A New Year, a New Start!

New Year's Resolutions are a big thing in our world because many people see the new year as an opportunity for a reset. If you haven't, take some time to ask our Father if there might be anything in your life that might need a reset. Ok, here's this weeks Youth News.

Prayer Request:

1.) Lets still be praying for Sabrina Lin's (our 7th grade girl's small group leader) mom. is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for over a week now. She is off the respiratory machine and can breathe on her own, she's now learning to swallow again so she can get soft solid foods soon. Sabrina and the Family's prayer requests are:
  • Continued strengthening and stabilization of her heart and lungs
  • Healing of her bed sores from being bedridden for two weeks
  • Smooth transition from ICU to a normal hospital room and eventually home
  • Strength for Physical Therapy to counter atrophy, to learn correct posture, and eventually how to walk again (that God would heal her back completely and remove chronic pain)
  • Sabrina's dad's salvation, that he would realize God's hand in all this and have a soft heart
  • Wisdom for Sabrina and her father to know how to properly care for mom when she comes home
  • Sabrina's mom to have hope, purpose, and vibrancy with God
2.) Please be praying for David Kao. He fractured his ankle on Sunday evening, while playing basketball. He's been to the hospital, is on crutches and has an ankle boot. Lets be praying got a restful and quick recovery.

Jr. High meet in Sanctuary, SJCAC 
High School meet in Room A101-104

Jan 28 Together E2 Fellowship, 7-9pm  

All Jr. High and High School Youth meet together in the Sanctuary, SJCAC
This week is our Celebration week, where we will be practicing creative worship.

Feb 4 Special SMALL GROUP E2 Fellowship, 7-9pm  

The church will be celebrating the Chinese New Year, so all the youth will meet at SJCAC and then will have their own hang out time with their SMALL GROUP, outside of the church.
